My friend Eric Capers (@capedoc1 on Instagram) takes incredible photos of owls in the woods of New Jersey. In 2020, he spotted a female Great Horned Owl that he affectionately named 'Corina'. Over the past six years of observing her when able, he has come to 'know' her quite well... her habits, her nest, her mates, her offspring and her ability to hunt and thrive despite having only one functioning eye. I was thrilled that he was willing to let me deconstruct one of his photographs of her to create this print. I hope it does her justice.
